Port of Hamburg, Germany

HyperPort cargo solution

HyperloopTT has created a joint venture company with the Port of Hamburg terminal operator Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft (HHLA) to focus on using hyperloop technology for port and inland shipping container operations. The project initially focuses on the construction of a transfer station for testing purposes as well as a 300 feet cargo route along with a special freight capsule and loading dock.

In the late 1990s, HHLA was first to introduce GPS and automated port operations. In 2001, it was one of the first terminal operators to incorporate self-driving vehicles into daily operation. With this new joint venture, HHLA continues a tradition of port innovation to service the millions of shipping containers that come through annually.
